LANDSCAPE
The tool is based on hierarchical allocation strategy and resistances of land use. It is used for quantitative modelling different strategies to reaching LDN (includes degradation and restoration modelling). It distinguishes between active land uses, which are a direct resulr from human demands, and passive land uses, which are driven by changes in active land uses. The main advantage of the model is its capability to simulate cascading processes of land-use change in which one process initiates another.
