The #6 GEO-LDN Online Seminar on “How the data revolution has transformed the UNCCD national reporting process” took place on December 12, 2023, from 2-3 PM (CEST). In a compelling presentation, Brian O'Connor, Geospatial Information Officer, and Sara Minelli, Programme Officer for Monitoring and Assessment, both from the UNCCD Secretariat in Bonn, Germany, shed light on the transformative impact of the data revolution on UNCCD reporting. The focal point of their discussion centered around the mandatory reporting obligations of UNCCD country Parties, emphasizing Article 26 of the Convention and decision 11/COP.1.
