GEO-LDN hosted a 2-day training workshop on approaches for land degradation monitoring prior to AfriGEO Symposium 2023 in Swakopmund, Namibia. 31 AfriGEO delegates learnt about different tools and approaches in land degradation monitoring and planning towards degradation neutrality (LDN): SEPAL, trends.earth, the Great Green Wall big data facilitator and the work of OSS with the Digital Earth Africa infrastructure were showcased during the event.
