Dr. Nausheen Mazhar is Chairperson and Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at Lahore College for Women University, Lahore, and Head of the International Resource Center (IRC), DFDI. She holds a PhD in Geography and has completed postdoctoral research, along with a research fellowship at the University of Leeds, UK. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on land degradation, desertification, droughts, sustainable land management, sedimentation in reservoirs, and disaster risk reduction, with particular emphasis on dryland communities and policy responses to minimize the impacts of desertification.
