KoBoToolbox

KoBo Toolbox is an open-source platform for collecting, managing, and visualizing data. Widely used in humanitarian and development contexts, it supports the design of surveys, data collection in both online and offline settings, and subsequent analysis. The platform is accessible through mobile devices and web browsers, offering a user-friendly interface that allows broad participation, including by stakeholders with limited technical experience.

In the context of the GEO-LDN Toolbox, KoBo Toolbox plays a key role in gathering geospatial, environmental, and socio-economic data to support land degradation assessments. It enables local communities to contribute directly to the monitoring process, ensuring that their knowledge and observations inform national decision support systems. This bottom-up approach strengthens the evidence base for targeted interventions and supports progress towards achieving Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) and related restoration goals.
