RCMRD’s Angela Too Highlights GEO-LDN Tools at IGAD Sub-COF5 Forum

From 10–12 February 2026, the Sub-Regional Climate Outlook Forum (Sub-COF5) for IGAD Cluster II brought together regional climate experts, policymakers, meteorological services, and sector stakeholders in Moyale, at the Ethiopia–Kenya border. The forum focused on translating seasonal climate forecasts into actionable advisories to strengthen early warning systems, drought preparedness, and climate resilience across the region.

#HowToLDN Team Benin
19. September 2025
Team Benin is advancing its roadmap to achieve Land Degradation Neutrality by 2030. The plan combines capacity building, comprehensive data collection, and the use of geospatial tools, including a Google Earth Engine application to monitor progress. With support from the GEO-LDN Flagship, Benin is working to restore 1.25 million hectares of degraded land while limiting further loss of healthy land.

GEO Global Forum 2025 in Rome
