The GEO-LDN Secretariat is responsible for managing the daily operations and logistical support for the GEO-LDN Initiative, and providing scientific and technical coordination for the activities of its working groups. It is hosted at the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH in Bonn, Germany, and is composed of:

Steering Committee 

The Steering Committee is the primary decision-making body of the initiative. It drives the strategic direction of the initiative, helps coordinate activities, and identifies and mobilises resources.  The Steering Committee consists of the Working Group co-chairs and co-leads, country members, participating organisations, and other stakeholders and shareholders. List of members is forthcoming.

Working Groups

The Working Groups are responsible for implementing specific activities in support of the GEO LDN Initiative’s main objectives. The Working Groups are led by the GEO LDN co-chairs and additional co-leads. Membership in the working groups is open to all GEO members, participating organizations, and other stakeholders. Three Working Groups have been established on: Capacity Development, Data Quality Standards and Data Analytics. More information on the Working Groups can be found here.
