After eight years of dedicated service as Co-Chair of GEO-LDN, Antje Hecheltjen is stepping down from this role. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for her leadership and contributions to the network over the past four years.

This is not a goodbye, however. Antje will continue to play a vital role in GEO-LDN as the Secretariat Coordinator, ensuring continuity and supporting the network’s ongoing activities.
As one chapter closes, another begins, and we are delighted to welcome Dr. Anke Schickling as our new Co-Chair. Anke is a Hyperspectral Applications Scientist and Technical Officer at the European Space Agency (ESA) and has already been supporting GEO-LDN as a Strategic Advisor. With her expertise in Earth observation, she brings valuable experience and fresh perspectives to the leadership team. We are excited to have her take on this new role.
